COOKING IS, WITHOUT A DOUBT, ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT SKILLS A PERSON CAN EVER LEARN AND SHARE.
The Little Chefs Workshops are about providing children with skills to last a lifetime, encourage creativity, give them an appreciation of where food comes from and its exciting (and tasty!) possibilities. It's about promoting pleasure through flavour and texture, and encourage children to talk and think about food in ways that employ all the senses.
COOKING IS FUN
Cooking should be fun and easy. In my cooking classes I teach my students how to cook great food that tastes amazing, saves money and, in the long run will help them lead a happier, healthier life! They cook good food from scratch and learn new ways to get creative in the kitchen. I teach them the basic skills and knowledge that they will be able to use everyday for the rest of their life.
Specially designed classes for kids between 8 and 14 years old right in the centre of Port macquarie.
The classes are fun and educational with dishes like Naturally Coloured Fresh Pasta, Rice Paper Rolls and Chocolate Fondant. Every class has information regarding nutrition, health and safety, fundamental food education and a little bit of mentoring on how to shop, how to save money and how to make beautiful, tasty, quick meals for the participants and their families.
LEARN WHILE YOU COOK
The dominant messages we are getting nowadays about food are all about dieting and which food are bad for us. They are very negative and boring messages and, as far as children are concerned, they go in one ear and out the other. They don't really change the way children eat.
My cooking classes aim to educate, empower and inspire people to love and enjoy good food, learning how to cook, understanding where it comes from and recognising the power it can have on health, happiness and finances.
